Jingpeng: The ramps of the Jingpeng-Pass are presenting the last big steam-show on earth. Steep gradients, many bridges and tunnels and 100% steam operations are very impressive. Looking at the pictures one thing can't be seen: The very low temperatures down to -40°C and cold, icy wind that sometimes makes taking photos become a torture. And the turning winds are a big problem: You never know on which side of the train the steam will be blown down...

And here is also something for the ears: A record (158 kByte) of QJ-6828 (chimney type Giesl) and QJ-7009 (normal chimney) leaving tunnel 1 (05.03.2000).
