Frankfurt/Oder: No other depot all over Europe was such a great centre of class 52 like Frankfurt/Oder. Caused by the dissolution of the Transportation Groups of the Soviet Military Administration in Germany (SMAD) Frankfurt/Oder had a stock of 170 (!) engines of class 52 in January 1953. Frankfurt/Oder kept it's status as largest centre of the DRG-52 until the end of steam activities in Germany. In 1980 still 24 locomotives were based here. The last steam-services ended in 1987...

 
The non-reconstructed 52.2195-7 is waiting for transfer to the museum at Hermeskeil...   Preserved engines were almost stabled at the shunting station Frankfurt-Klingetal.
 
Before it changed to Wustermark 52.8117-5 was used for heating at the sub-depot Wriezen...   Coming back from service: 52.8152-2 at home in Frankfurt/Oder depot.
