Mokra Gora:
The most spectacular section of the former narrow gauge line Sarajevo - Beograd was Mokra Gora - Uzice, which was crossing the Sargan mountains by steep gradients, many loops and tunnels. After closing down in 1974 the tracks were removed until the end of the 80s. To reanimate tourism after the Yugoslavian war in 1999 the Yugoslavian government decided to rebuilt the section between Mokra Gora and Sargan Viste. Under the management of Yugoslavian State Railway JZ the project started in 1999 and was finished in 2003. With a length of 15 km the line is one of the most impressive narrow gauge lines in Europe today.
