303-Australia: 80 km southbound of Varadero is one of the most interesting sugar mills in whole Cuba: Australia. The lines are very beautiful (with palm-woods, villages) and the rolling stock is remarkable. Two diesel locomotives, built up from steam engines, can be observed here. An other attraction is the railroad-crossing with the highway, only saved by a man with a flag...

1620 is a german construction (Henschel 1920)!   Shunting at La Juanita: 1513 was build by Baldwin in 1920.

2'C-engine 1515 was build by ALCO in 1914 (near Murga).   1593 is the yard pilot at the mill in Australia.
