Jaworzyna Sł. (Koenigszelt): When Prussian railway-line Breslau - Freiburg(Schles) was built in 1843 a name was needed for the new railway-cross with Schweidnitz - Striegau line. Remembering that here was the place where king Frederic The Great has pitched his tent during the Bunzelwitz' camp in 1761, the village became the name Koenigszelt - "King's Tent".

After WW2 Koenigszelt (now Polish and named Jaworzyna) was one of the largest depots of class Ty2 (DRG-52) in Silesia. Until the middle of the 80s you still could see more than a dozen of engines of this class in service here. Later diesel competition became stronger and steam services ended in autumn of 1991. All ideas to change Jaworzyna into a railway museum with regular working steam failed. The last try ended in 1995 when the line to Marcziszow was closed down.
