Yes sure, the forestry lines are very interesting, but the numberless dumped standard gauge steam locomotives are interesting too, not just because they are mostly German constructions...


Subcetate: Beneth a lot of class 40 locomotives here were also 131.001 (1'C1'h2t), 230.039 and 150.1121 existent. Remarkable is 230.039, an engine of the first seria of Prussian P8. In 1999 it was brought to the repair shop at Klausenburg (Cluij Napoca) to get sold to Western Europe...

Petrosani: The depot has still one servicable Prussian P8 - 230.214! Stands at the entrance as an memorial and is an Austrian type: 40.001 from Subcetate... (Oktober 1997)
